Summary
Dante was an Italian poet, prose writer, literary theorist, moral philosopher, and political thinker. He is best known for writing ‘The Divine Comedy’. He is also known as “Father of the Italian Language” since he helped create the Italian language. Later in Dante’s last 2 decades of his life he was exiled from Florence, his home land. That's why Dante was so important during the renaissance.
